Light of Saints

Our editorial approach

Sources and attribution

Material claims require traceable sources. Scripture quotations, paraphrase, history, tradition, interpretation, and fiction must be distinguished. Modern translations have their own rights.

Official Church sources

Research uses official Church websites only: the Holy See, bishops’ conferences, dioceses, and the sites of religious orders and shrines they run. Media, blogs and community sites are not used as sources. A saint’s status in the Church is taken only from the Holy See or a bishops’ conference; devotions and traditions from an order or shrine are presented as tradition. Prayer texts such as novenas are summarised with a link to their source.

Human review

Approval to prepare a draft is not approval to publish. Sources, theology, language, sensitivity, attribution, and rights are reviewed against the final text and media version. AI cannot supply a human approval.

AI assistance and illustrations

AI may assist research, drafting, translation, or illustration. Illustrations are interpretations, not documentary proof. Substantive changes require a new revision and review.

Corrections

Published corrections should preserve version history and identify affected translations and social adaptations. The site does not claim official Church approval without evidence.
